“I started reading historians like Peter Harrison and John Hedley Brooke, and I realized that God wasn’t something that gets tacked on…. It was absolutely central to their thinking. I’m convinced now that you don’t get their physics without their metaphysics, and their metaphysics has God right in the middle…. As a Christian, I would like to reclaim the history because it’s our history.”
