About

Advancing the Way of Christ in all of Culture

The L. Russ Bush Center for Faith and Culture seeks to equip students to advance the way of Christ in all of culture.

Connecting Christ to All of Life

Our Mission

The L. Russ Bush Center for Faith and Culture undergirds the mission of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary by equipping students to advance the way of Christ in all of culture.

Our Vision

The Center for Faith and Culture is first and foremost an equipping center. We are focused on students, delivering balanced content across cultural spheres with a proactive equipping posture.

Who and how do we equip?

We seek to equip three main segments of people from the pulpit to the pew:

  1. students and those actively serving in ministry
  2. the academy
  3. the everyday Christian

Equipping others to advance the way of Christ in all of culture leads us to interact with key doctrines such as the Doctrine of God, Christ, Creation, Anthropology, and Christian living. The aim of our work is the way of Christ in all things.

Practically, what does this look like?

We aim to cultivate content, community, and conversation across major cultural spheres.

  • Contentblog, podcast, and resources
  • Community – via the Mentorship Program, internships, fellowships, and an ever-growing network of practioners and thought leaders
  • Conversation – via events, conferences, and lectures
Why does it exist?

We embody the life and ministry of our founder, Dr. L. Russ Bush (1944-2008). The CFC is the materialization of his vision to connect theology with culture to make the gospel known.
