Jason Belk: Surviving and Thriving in Remote Work

Podcast Icon
It’s really difficult to work remotely if you’re not being fed by relationships in person.

In the Christ and Culture podcast with Benjamin Quinn, we seek to equip ministry leaders to advance the way of Christ in all creation through thoughtful conversations with leading thinkers.

Today’s Episode:

More and more people are working remotely. But while this approach has many benefits, it also has its own challenges. How can you develop and maintain relationships while working remotely?

Southeastern alum Jason Belk joins us to discuss. He highlights the challenges of loneliness, the importance of cultivating relationships, and some practical tips to stay organized and connected in remote work.

Jason Belk is a Senior Technology Advocate for Learning and Certifications at Cisco based in Reno, Nevada. He lives with his wife, two toddler daughters, and their adorable black Labrador dog. His years spent supporting the network operations as a network engineer in the Cisco Corporate Campus and Branch network created a passion for helping network engineers adopt the new skills and concepts needed for the IT needs of today and tomorrow.

He graduated from SEBTS in 2018 with a Masters of Divinity in Christian Ministry, and enjoyed his Faith and Culture classes with Dr. Quinn the most. Jason had the unique opportunity to do a church history tour with other students from SEBTS and Dr. Quinn before graduating and still cherishes those memories. He actively serves in his local church Grace Church in Reno.
