David W. Jones: How Can I Know God’s Will for My Life?

How can I know God’s will for my life? What even is God’s will, and can I know it at all?

Dr. David W. Jones wrote a book to address this question, Knowing and Doing the Will of God. In this brief video, Dr. Jones explains what prompted him to write this important book.

Ultimately Scripture needs to be our source of authority.

Why he wrote the book on how you can know God’s will.

“Surprisingly there are not a lot of good books out there on knowing and doing the will of God. Some of the books out there on the topic are what I’d say bad boooks. Which is one of the reasons why I felt like the student’s request (that I turn my course on this topic into a book) was a pretty good request and it motivated me to actually write the book.

“I was trying to point people back towards Scripture… because ultimately [Scripture] needs to be our source of authority, and that needs to be that which forms the way in which we make life decisions going forward.”
