Poem: Home is Where the Heart Is

EDITOR'S NOTE

This article is a part of our series, The Way of Christ in the Arts. This month, in addition to articles, we will feature poetry.

It’s warm and cozy where I live.
The walls are smoothest shades of pink.
The furnishings are fluffy mists.
The ambiance is welcoming.

I love to sleep in home’s embrace.
It’s peaceful, dark, and quiet here,
sheltered from both sound and space,
save for the rhythmic beat of care.

I learn and grow when I’m at home.
It’s my safe harbor from all stress.
and I will stay here ‘til I’m born,
just two months more, not a day less.
