As summer begins, we want to help you craft the perfect Summer Reading List. We asked Southeastern Seminary professors what books they would recommend, and we’ll share their recommendations in coming weeks.

Today, Scott Hildreth recommends a book for your summer reading list.

We must be aware of the damage social media is causing to us and those around us.

Terms of Service: The Real Cost of Social Media
by Chris Martin (B&H, 2022)

Terms of Service by Chris Martin gives a solid assessment of the potential as well as many of the issues caused by social media usage. I think all Christians, especially Christian leaders, will benefit from this information. We cannot ignore the impact of social media, but we must be very wise about how we use it, and we must also be aware of the damage social media is causing to us and those around us. This book is a helpful guide for this.

Editor’s Note: Our sister podcast The Sent Life featured an interview with Chris Martin about this book. Listen here: “The Real Cost of Social Media.”
