What does it look like for believers to wisely engage the intersection of faith and culture in daily life?

Join us on March 16, 2018 on the campus of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, or via livestream, for The Wisdom Forum — an evening of compelling conversation addressing the faithful interaction with cultural issues the church faces today.

Today, get to know one of our guest speakers, Dr. Esther Meek, who will speak about friendship and the good life.

Esther Meek

Esther L. Meek, Ph.D., is Professor of Philosophy at Geneva College. She is also a Fellow Scholar with Artist Makoto Fujimura’s Fujimura Institute.

She devotes her writing, speaking, teaching and conversations to cultivating philosophical awareness, and epistemological healing for everyone born into an age that is antiphilosophical, epistemologically disoriented, disconnected from themselves and reality.

Born in Philadelphia, Esther attended Cedarville College (BA), Western Kentucky University (MA), Temple University (PhD), as well as studying theology at Westminster Theological Seminary and Covenant Theological Seminary.

Esther lives in Aliquippa, in Western PA, since relocating here in 2004 from St. Louis. In anticipation of the spiritual and structural restoration of this post-industrial town and its people, she supports Aliquippa’s Uncommon Grounds Café in their Advisory Council, and she serves on the board of Aliquippa Impact Ministries.

Join Esther Meek and others at The Wisdom Forum.
